Le dessin représente Auguste Rodin et Le Penseur, son œuvre la plus célèbre, face à face. La mention RF, pour République Française, est représentée comme si elle était sculptée dans la partie supérieure de la pièce. Le nom de l’artiste, «A. Rodin» ainsi que les dates «1917-2017», sont indiqués dans sa barbe.
L’anneau extérieur de la pièce représente les douze étoiles du drapeau européen.
